Help a Veteran Blinded in Action in Iraq or Afghanistan!
Over 145 Soldiers and Marines have suffered serious eye injuries in combat and at least 25 are totally blind. You can help send a young veteran blinded in Iraq or Afghanistan to the national convention of the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) in Buffalo, NY this August. The BVA is the congressionally chartered 501(c)3 nonprofit group that helps blind veterans.
Each $1800 raised will send a young, recently blinded veteran, along with a family member, to the BVA national convention so they can meet other veterans blinded in Iraq and to share strength with blinded vets from WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Your tax deductible donations can be made over the phone.
